Whole day buggy tour through the valley of Flateyjardalur (North Iceland)
Join us on this self drive guided Buggy tour through the beautiful valley of Flateyjardalur. A whole day adventure with beautiful scenery, fun roads on very capable buggies (side by side vehicles / UTV´s).
We drive from Skjaldarvik at 9.00 AM and drive through Akureyri and head east on the old no. 1 road that winds it's way over Vadlaheidi mountain. From there we drive towards Flateyjardalur valley mostly on gravel roads. The 4x4 path into the valley stretches then some 33 Kilometers ahead where the buggy cars really come to life on their home turf. You will see some rugged windy path, small puddles, creeks, rivers on your way into this beautiful valley.
After fully exploring the valley we head back home to Skjaldarvik by the same route and aim to be back in the late afternoon.
This tour is a wonderful mixture of the beautiful nature and the thrilling experience of driving in an open buggy car.

Duration: 7-8 hrs. (4-5 hr. driving in the Buggy)

Included: Guided Buggy tour (2 in each Buggy), helmets, gloves, balaclavas and water resistant overalls. Coffee / tea and access to the hot tub after the tour.

Bring: Shoes for the outdoors, warm clothing under the overall, a small camera, something to drink and eat during the day. Swimsuits and towel if you would like to dip in the hot tub after the tour.
Your own clothes might get wet / muddy / dusty on the tour, so bringing an extra set of clothes is a good idea!
Good to know: You need a valid driving license to drive the Buggy.
